Doug Vandersee, Executive Director
Doug began his position as Executive Director at the YMCA on June 3, 2002. He left his position as Assistant Athletic Director at Wichita state University. He joined the Wichita State athletic staff in 1980 and was instrumental in the development of the university's athletic training program. He looks forward to the growth of the Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA. A native of Fayette, Iowa, he received his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and completed his master's degree at Western Illinois University. His wife, Jo Ellen, (Swanson) is a Sterling native. Sterling is where he Doug came to vacation with his family. He has always been fond of this community and its family friendly lifestyle. He has three children, Megan, Mason and Madison.
